In our opinion the RP3 is the best rowing simulator and offers better features and functionality than previous Rowperfect models and competitor models.The RP3 still has as the signature feature of its design the simulation of a light racing shell in all its aspects as closely as possible.

To achieve optimum performance in a crew boat every athlete must match one another in power application. The RP3 can assist in several ways. It can be used a selection tool to choose the athletes that apply power in the same way. It can be used to teach the proper technique of power application with the aid of "personal reference strokes" or “optimum team reference strokes” that can be established and improved upon at every training session. Athletes can work on their own stroke if they are a single sculler or work to make the team power curve as synergistic as possible over time. The display of the "ideal" reference stroke shown together with the superimposed actual strokes taken, help to quickly modify technique and assist the development of the optimum technique. The RP3, is similar to that of a racing shell is very sensitive to good biomechanics and balance with good technique rewarded, while poor technique is not. The RP3 - Rowperfect Rowing Simulator software, that can be downloaded from the internet, provides a computer screen display that meets your individual training requirements: Integrating a weight adjusted virtual split time for whatever boat type selected plus five additional numerical display options selected from the menu of available options plus two customized graphs of your choice.

A stand along monitor is no longer an option at the present time. However, the RP3 comes with a USB interface, that is a giant step up from the DOS software on original Rowperfect and adds many additional features. The RP3 USB interface comes with a USB cable and the RP3W software. It calculates over 25 values for every stroke made, and presents a real-time force curve on the computer screen.

What is exciting for existing Rowperfect owners is that you can now purchase a RP3 USB interface and RP3W software. By doing this you can upgrade the data collection and display for your existing machine. Now available at: SEAN: Session Analysis are Windows RP3W software and USB interface. These items allow you to record and analyze training sessions done on a Rowperfect rowing simulator. It is also used to organize training results. This software and USB is available at that site and allows the Rowperfect customer easy access to workout data, tables and graphs.
