Durham Boat Company has teamed up with Shimano to produce a collaborative part that incorporates a Dreher carbon footplate and a Shimano binding system for Vespoli eights and coxed fours. This part will directly interface with an existing Vespoli footboard allowing customers to change over to the Shimano flexible shoe rowing system.

The Shimano flex shoe system is designed for rowers that want to use their own shoes for precise fit, maximum hygiene, and improved safety. Coaches will no longer need to worry about whether the shoes fit a particular athlete and waste time to swap equipment around.
